About Travelling Cards
Travelling Cards was imagined by French photographer, Vincent Dupont-Blackshaw, a travel photographer who found himself enchanted by life on the Isle of Wight, and his wife Lynda who, after years of living and working abroad, away from family and friends, is passionate about making meaningful connections with people.
On moving to the Isle of Wight, they noticed how many people held the island close to their hearts. There is an extraordinary number of visitors who return repeatedly to the island over decades, enjoying each visit as much as the first. From holidaymakers remembering years of glorious summers on the beach with their families, to those who come over in a group on a guided coach tour and family members who have left the island but still pine for it. Travelling Cards were formed with these people in mind.
The imagery on the cards captures the beautiful places that only the Isle of Wight can offer. There is a reason it is one of the UK’s areas of outstanding natural beauty. Beaches, woodlands, architecture, amusement parks, marinas, royal houses and the jurassic coastline are all waiting to be shared. Offering those that know the island a moment of nostalgia. Passing these on, sharing these beautiful images with people is a great way to connect with those that you care for. Sharing a beautiful card from a place that is special to you is a great start to any correspondence and so much better than sending a text!
A little more about the imagery.

“I look for moments that are quietly unique. Often, an isolated thing or person in an environment that, on first glance, is ordinary, but on second glance, tells a subtle story. Light plays an essential part of how I see that story being told, creating a mood and provoking feeling in each image. As a travel photographer, I strive to catch the essence of the place I am in at that exact time. My role is to tell a story of that place for people to connect with.”
